I don’t like how some guys like summarize their girlfriends or wives by how attractive she is. Its not, “She’s great and smart” or “She is incredibly active and kind”

No its always, “my girlfriend is hot” “my wife is sexy”

The attractiveness of the girlfriend is a measurement of success for the man. And its kinda really fucked up? 

it seems a lot of my friends are having a rough night!

that it will pass, and with a new day comes a new opportunity for a better day

I’ve noticed that I hold people to my absurdly high standards in work ethic and such. 

I am a workaholic. I work almost nonstop when I can. I have done 80 hour weeks with school and work. 

And in my head I have that standard for everyone like “Why can’t YOU work 11 hour shifts without a break and just deal like I can?”

“Why can’t YOU close and then open 3 times in one week?”

“Its not that bad working 30 hours in 3 days!”

Stuff like that.

I don’t know if its normal or not for me to expect such things from people.

So we got a new manager at work 3 weeks ago. He was taking over some of my shifts so I could focus on school.

In those three weeks he has called off work two times, for two days at a time. and every time I had to cover HIS SHIFTS.

as it should happen HE CALLED IN AGAIN TODAY FOR HIS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SHIFTS
